Supporting students (future leaders) is at the heart of my leadership goals using the MELHE approach. One of my main goals is to develop students’ employability by 15% in the next three years and support diversity and inclusion especially those from BAME backgrounds and female engineers. Since May 2021, I have been leading UCLan SoE team, working with UCLan CIZ and Propeller teams and stakeholders to develop a new programme for Engineering students ‘EASE’ ‘Engineering Entrepreneurship and Start-up for Engineers’ at the Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC). The programme supports future engineering students to practice entrepreneurship and start-up skills and work with employers in engineering challenges. The project started in Sep 2021 in collaboration with CIZ and Propeller teams supported by the school of Engineering to work with industries such as Bentley, and Royal Mail. During 2021-2022, the project supported 100+ engineering students to improve their employability skills and be able to be self-employed and start businesses, or develop entrepreneurial skills. The ‘EASE’ programme truly represents UCLan values; teams are ‘achieving together’, we are ‘creating opportunity’ for our students, and we are ‘being proud’ of ‘supporting all’ of our students.”. The ‘EASE Zone’ has successfully received external funds, which will support running the EASE programme for the next two years, and develop the ‘EASE International’ online portal to deliver enterprise and provide free training programmes to 1000 UCLan students in the UK campuses, Cyprus, Italy, and partners in Egypt in the next two years. The success of any organisation relay on several factors, however, people and leadership remain the main factors. In the current world environment, entrepreneurial leadership is essential for any institution not only to drive the success of the institution but also to develop sustainable people’s future. Entrepreneurial leadership in academia is vital as it could play an important role in developing the future of humanity. The achievement of the multi strands presented here is based on the Multifaceted Entrepreneurial Leadership in Higher Education (MELHE) model as a holistic approach that shows multisided developments in higher education and could grow using the entrepreneurial leadership to support people's future; staff, students, research, industry, and community at several levels including the institutional level, the national and international levels. MELHE is a sustainable entrepreneurial leadership model that could be developed at other higher education institutions allowing one development to be expanded beyond the national and international levels. It is all about people and the MELHE approach has proven that successful leadership could be achieved by working with the aim of people's future.

The plan is to continue utilising the MELHE approach to support people's future; staff, students, research, industry, and the community at several levels including the institutional level, the national, EU and international levels. The following projects are undergoing in the next five years:

• UCLan Hub in Egypt to educate 5000 students by 2025
• The EASE Zone to support 250 UCLan students by 2023
• The EASE International online portal to support 1000 students/ year at UCLan UK campuses, Cyprus, Italy, and partners in Egypt
• The Engineering Academy Summer school programmes run every year to support 500 international students/per year
• The SIEe-TH (Skills, Innovation and Enterprise e-Training) Hub to develop 5000 people/ year in the UK, EU and international.
• The G5IR (Green Fifth Industrial Revolution) project to enhance awareness of 5000 people/ year in two strands: the climate resilience and mitigation of universities, and universities’ contribution to the resilience of communities, businesses, and governments in the UK, EU and international.
